The Traveller Medium Duffle Bag and Outfitter Bag are part of our collaboration with renowned musician and songwriter Chris Stapleton. A long-time friend of our brand, Chris puts Filson bags and jackets to good use when he tours. The collection, named after Chris’s highly acclaimed 2015 album, includes some of his favorite Filson bags when he’s on the road.
This high-capacity bag features fabric, zipper, and leather colors chosen by Chris. The grab handle and zipper reinforcements are upgraded with heavy-duty harness leather that’s vegetable-tanned in Pennsylvania by the legendary Wickett & Craig. This special leather has tallow and waxes infused into it during the time-intensive tanning process, yielding a superior, supple leather that only gets better with age.
The large main compartment has the capacity for clothing and gear for extended trips. The entire bottom zips open horizontally for keeping shoes, boots, or dirty clothes separated. Zippered pockets extend the full width of the sides for quick access or added organization. The handles wrap around the bottom of the bag to securely cradle even the heaviest loads. The heavy-gauge YKK® zippers are sold brass for rustproof reliability over decades of travel. Chris Stapleton’s initials are debossed on the zipper’s harness leather end tab.
